it's 2t with 12000+ miles on it. It's not normal to smoke like that. I've ridden a new people 50 and its' exhaust was odorless. How do I check if it is indeed unburned gas? Thank you!

Hello everyone. Just bought a 2005 Kymco People 50 with 12000+ miles on it. Looks good and runs smooth and strong. The only negative thing is that it is smoking white and stinky smoke. Please make suggestion on the cause and how to fix it. Any help will be greatly appreciated! Thanks in advance! Cheers!

Hi, everyone. I have received the airbox and the hose/connection #4 is absent. What is the purpose of it and is it a big deal if it is not utilized?

Also, the scooter smokes a lot with black stinky smoke. What can cause that and how to fix it? ( I recently had engine and gear oils changed)

Thank you, Cruiser, for explaining the clear hose. that'd be my next question. And what is the purpose for other hoses? (I'm just trying to learn and understand how it works). Thank you!

Yes, it does make sense, Gatekeeper, thank you. I took the airbox off to take a closer look and I think I am just going to replace the whole thing. Quick question though. Does the filter look ok or needs to be replaced too? Thank you!

Here are the pictures of the airbox and the airbox snorkel. both of them have cracks and airbox is missing the hose that is pointed with the arrow. Would that affect the engine so that is't not working smoothly, but jerks as I was describing earlier?

Hello. I was writing a few months ago about jerking issue while applying throttle and driving (Jonway yy250t accelerates with jerks instead of accelerating gradually and smoothly) it also doesn't go over 55 mp/h because of unbearable "shakes" and "jerks' that start at that speed (it feels like someone applies brake for a split second every few seconds). I was advised to look for vacuum leaks. Which I did. I've taken some pictures of couple of parts that I'd like to ask you a question about. How do I upload them?

I had one of those missing and found it at ACE Hardware for about $1.25 each.

Aaaaaaand I'm back! =) I had the battery on YY250T (not original, brand new) dieing too quickly . I had a guy from Advance auto parts run the test on the battery and that's what the report said: the battery is good; alternator shows 0 voltage (doesn't charge) when front lights are on and normal voltage (!)(charging) when the lights are off. (I installed the switch so I can actually turn the lights off). So now when I ride at night (with lights, working directly from the battery and inactive alternator) I can only go like 40 mins away and after that the scoot won't restart. How is it possible? Is it a bad alternator or I have an electrical problem? Thank you.

=) I wish I had access to all that fancy gas. I switched to regular and the scoot seems to purr and ride better. It still starts jerking at some point though. I haven't tried adjusting the mixture screw. I hope that will fix the issue. I'll write what's up after having tried adjusting the screw.
Hey, people, who ride the YY250T, what do you think of the seat? I did couple long rides and my arse (coccyx) hurts a great deal =( The seat has an angle so the muscles are always flexed, it's really annoying, uncomfortable and disappointing.

Wow, Guys! You rock! Thank you, Alleyoop and Cruiser, for fast and helpful answers, with pics and videos. When I started dealing with issues on my scoot I felt like I'm alone. And here I can ask question AND you know what I'm talking about AND you know how to deal with it! Respect!
