I finally got to the point where my original exhaust had reached the end of it's usefulness. I had been reluctant all along to change the exhaust because of the price. To me $199 is a lot of money (especially when the Scooter was only $588 new) too pay for something that doesn't really make that huge of a performance difference. Luckily I came across this set-up at ScrappydogScooters.com www.scrappydogscooters.com/139QMB_50cc_Performance.htmlFor only $129.95 they were quite a bit cheaper than anybody else. First of all I had an excellent experience with scrappydogscooters.com. I ordered this on a Monday and had it at my doorstep in Florida on Wednesday. I had JB Welded my third and final hole on my old one.. The build quality was good on the new exhaust, the welds looked pretty good... There was a little slag left over on the flange that I had to grind off..... But no big deal, I figured I might have to do something like that with such cheap prices. I was really afraid that the brackets would not be in the correct position. But, I was lucky it pretty much bolted right up. The top bracket had some space between it and the case when I got it bolted up.... Nothing a few stainless flat washers couldn't handle. Other than that it was a quick easy bolt-on conversion. It looks great... I haven't really noticed that much of a performance gain over my stock pipe with 2 holes drilled in the end. BUT, It sounds really good!! It has a much more throatier, deeper tone to it now. I have to do a plug check today, too see if I have leaned it out too much. But it runs really good and I don't think the jetting has changed much from my stock opened up exhaust. The good thing about stainless is it should last virtually forever so I won't have to do this again. Not that it was a terrible job, only took about an hour to do, and I had to run to the hardware store twice!!

Not sure since I don't have a tach! I go by ear and I would not be comfortable with it revving much higher than it is now. Once in a while would be fine but not every time I take off from a light.

Yeah, after a couple more days of riding I can definitely say I'm sticking with the 5G rollers. After a few miles of break in these are already revving a little higher than before. So I think 4.5G for me would be a little to light.

I changed out my 6G Dr Pulley Sliders today, for some 5G sliders. Since I could not get Dr Pulley brand this time I went with the new Scooter Ninja Sliders that MRP now carries. They seem to be of a good build quality and are made of a better material than standard rollers. Only time will tell as to how well they will last compared to Dr Pulley brand. I changed out the Sliders right out on my front doorstep. Only took about 20-25 minutes and I wasn't hurrying. Took the cover off and this is what I saw.... Gates Belt is still in great shape, and it probably has about 3,500 miles on it. I'm gonna order another one here soon just to have for a spare. I prefer too change them before they break. My NCY Golden Teflon Variator I got from Enviromoto last summer is holding up really well. Here it is with the new Sliders in place. Put everything back together and I am very happy with the lighter rollers. With the 6 gram Sliders I could cruise all day at 35mph and top out about 40mph on a flat with no headwind. Now with the 5 gram Sliders not only do I have better take-off but, my top speed has increased because the motor is operating up in a better powerband than before. I now can cruise all day at about 37-38mph and top out at about 42-44mph. Nice improvement but the motor still isn't turning enough RPM's for me. I could probably go with 4.5 gram, but I'm gonna stick with the 5 gram for now. I've got 8,700 miles on the Scoot and don't think it's a good idea to have that motor turning to high a revs with that many miles on it.

Nice Scooter, your getting some good speeds out of it as well. Most people go with heavier rollers once the BBK is installed, but you seem to be getting good results with the 5G rollers. Thats great news!
