Well I just bought a lance GS-R -2008 for 280$, put about 60$ into it with a new valve cover and air intake tube.It would not start just turn over, I adjusted the valves and it started it right up but died and I had too clean the carb too. The thing would not idle at all but would turn over. I thought it was a piecer but ended up that the spark plug boot was weird and was on to far and now it purrs like a kitten after I pulled the plug back just a little bit out. I guess I won't press the boot on all the way.

I had the same problem with one of the break lights not working. My scooter would not start and the fuel guage would drop down and nothing would happen.

Change back to your old stock stator and tell me what happens. I tried to replace my stator with an 8 pole and it was the same color and everything, it started to heat up light bulbs red hot and make my battery go well over 15.6v on idle. After I went back to the stock stator that I had I originally took off and replaced the light bulbs everything was fine.

Last time I changed my stator I started blowing bulbs they would heat up like molten lava , it turned out to be the stator was not correct even though it was the same as the other one. I just changed back to the stock one I had and it worked great.

Learned the manufacturer stop using the old stock rims in 2013 and a different rim and spacer was used for the new rim. So they are sending me a new smaller spacer hopefully it fits.
