See thats the thing the stator is grounding but the shaft in the middle isnt, so the magneto doesnt have ground in it. Idk with the magneto off theres continuity from the frame to the staor monunts and casing behind but nothing to the crankshaft, unless it not supposed to idk.

Thats what i did everything is wired so it should work but it doesnt still same voltage drop from wire heading into the ignition coil, which is a new one with a good tight boot. I did gap the plug more which made no difference. Should the magneto have a ground through it, because i get no continuity with it and the case or anything. Even the crankshaft doesnt have continuity with the case. Just thought that was odd.

essentially I took a ground down the frame to bare metal made a new ground wire and hooked to the cleaned up valve pan then from the chassis ground ran a ground to the cdi and jumped from that wire to the back of the ignition coil so they have the same ground, Then ran the rest accordingly to the CDI that's the only wires hooked up right now I'll try hooking that other ground up and see if there's any difference. still turning will the drill since the starter doesn't work anyway teeth won't cant the flywheel.

If i take all the wiring off and just hook up with seperate new wires for the pick up chassis ground stator and ignition coil wires just those certain wires will that work to see if the cdi stator and ignition coil is good that is of course if it will spark right or should it. Just leaving the white and yellow unplugged from the stator and obviously leaving the killswitch unplugged at the cdi

And my stator puts out 58 volts. The wire from the cdi to ignition coil is the one doing the 30 to nothing.
