Just thought of something after re-reading and you said you changed the weights. Did you check and or replace the Plastic guides if one is missing or broke then the variator plate will be rattling on the metal guide and ruining it. Alleyoop thanks Alley but no i never even opened my transmission

Hey Borg, Its not the length that is the problem it is the width of the head. i can't find a screw with the right head size. If Rich was here he'd go to town with this on lol.

I got a m6 x20mm screw and although it fits into the drain its head does not fit in the hole. i put loctite on it and have yet to attach it to t he bike and turn it on. my question though is what other methods do you suggest in dealing with this issue? should I clamp the hose? seems easier than that flipping screw falling out at random

Wow where did I get .008? Hey Alley. It's messed up about Rich. I centered the cam and adjusted both valves to .004. I still have some clicking. Readjust? If it starts up good and it is justing TICKY TICKY TICKY that is fine but if it is CLATTER CLATTER CLATTER then to loose. As they say a little loose valve is a happy valve. So How does it start and run, now that you have the valves set at .004 inchs you may need to re-adjust the carbs fuel ratio mixture. Alleyoop It starts slightly better, It will turn over and run for a sec then stall out, on 2nd attempt it wont turn over, on third attempt it turns right over. Same patter as before adjustment but it turns over faster. It runs slightly better but power uphill is still low. I will have to make a video of me riding it because im not sure if its going ticky or clatter but im leaning towards the former...

You have to rotate the engine and get it to Top Dead Center (tdc) make sure it's after the intake valve opens and closes,,,,then when the piston is at it's highest point in the compression stroke ,,,,this is tdc,,,when the rocker arm is on the lowest part of the cam,,,( or base circle),,, then you do the adjustment ,,,,dead cold engine,,,preferably sitting over night,,,, Ill have to check on that my next opportunity between now and friday thanks
