I filled up today then rode a good 9 miles and have less than half a tank of gas left over. whats up with that? That's not the 97 mpg I've been hearing about. What could be wrong? I saw a clip for the gas filter was on wrong today when doing my pre ride check and put it back into proper place but this was before i filled up. it was never in that position before. i think someone has been tinkering with the bike. A kid or nosy neighbor. In a recent video I took with my cell a bunch of wires off to the side are hanging off. It seems that someone has been messing with them too as I tucked them all back under the bike neatly and it looks as if someone was tugging them. i doubt it was the G forces that pulled them out... Also the muffler became quite noisy as well as the engine in general it used to have a pur to it but now it seems to be struggling and sometimes there is the occasional put put pop that prompts bystanders to duck. I'm doing an oil change tomorrow.
Anyway whats up with my gas mileage?
here's a video of the loose wires

Greetings
When I originally bought the Bike the blinkers only worked when I fiddled with the positive wire on the battery terminal. The bolts I got with the bike battery did not fit and so the only way I could get a good contact at that time was to place the battery cover over the battery in such a way that the pressure kept the parts in contact. I finally got to the auto parts store and managed to get some bolts that actually almost fit perfectly in the battery terminals with the aid of 2 washers to each screw. Regardless I don't have to tap the battery terminal with my foot to start the bike anymore. I thought that this would fix the issue with the blinkers but it has not. Now it seems the blinkers will not turn on at all. I tried some new bulbs from the auto store in the back of the bike just to see if they would light up but I had no such luck. The front right blinker is not even connected and the area is just bashed in from the previous owners' unfortunate crash/fall.
I would Like to be able to read the Brake Fluid level as well but my main concern at the moment is the proper operation of my turning signals. Any Guidance will be appreciated. I did see the troubleshooting turn signal book and I am going through that now.

Thanks Guys that's a lot of help since i need to buy the right lock set. In your video I only see one missing screw . The one to hold the carb drain end in place . John Really? At 36 seconds in the video it looks like a big component of the bike is missing.

I bought a 2012 150cc scooter last night and it runs fine atm but some parts are missing. Also there is a tube of some sort hanging off the side of the bike.
