Quick question. Do valves get tighter or looser over time? I swear they get tighter.

For extra effect, if somebody can explain why valves that go in and out get tighter over time when they are constantly under stress, that would be even better. Even I don't understand that. Heating and contracting?

Mine are quiet when cold and noisy when hot, oddly.

Aluminum work hardens so after adjusting valves they go each time a little longer between adjustments.

Always seems that exhaust valve is always the most tight for me.

Always seems that exhaust valve is always the most tight for me. that's because the exhaust valve gets hotter. the aluminum gets softer there |
