I have a 2013 taotao cy50 t3 it drives fine for a minute or two then starts to lose power and slow down untill it completely dies out,if I try to start it it won't start unless I let it sit for about two minutes then it starts up and rides fine,it will do this 3 or 4 times then ride good,it still does it occasionally after that but not as often,I took the carb apart and cleaned it and replaced the Cdi but it still does it

Welcome Eric76, good to have you on the forum. Now the problem could be caused by several things but the first thing to do is Adjust the valves INTAKE to .003 inch's and the EXHAUST to .004 inch's or .003 inch's either one.
If one of the valves is tight once it gets hot it will not seal completely and loose compression then you have to wait for it to cool down some before it makes a good seal. The Exhaust valve usually gets tight due to the heat it takes, the Intake not so much because it get gas and air to cool it down. Alleyoop

Thank you I will check the valves tomorrow and let you but it seems to do it more when cold then run better when hot

Ok, that is a different story then, if it runs good when it is hot and does not want to die when you come to stops then it is not your valves. If it has problems cold then it is most likely to much fuel or not enough when cold because if your carb has an enricher it supposed to feed extra fuel for about the first 5 minutes of starting the motor. Now after 5 minutes the motor should be nice and and is when the ENRICHER cuts off the extra fuel.
So it could just be your ENRICHER either stuck RETRACTED or stuck EXTENDED, you can take if off two screws lay it on its side where you can see it AND MAKE SURE IT IS PLUGGED IN so it gets voltage when you start the motor. Then cover the hole with your thumb, start the motor and keep your thumb on the hole and watch the ENRICHER within 3-5 minutes it should EXTEND out about 1/4 of an inch. Let us know on this test.
If I am not describing it what I think your saying, please explain in detail because it all depends on when and how the motor acts to help diagnose the problem. Alleyoop

Yes,it does it more when cold,I already tested the enricher when I cleaned the carb and it works fine,it's not when I come to a stop that it happens its when I'm driving,if I'm driving at a steady speed it will suddenly lose power and slow down untill it eventually dies out, if i try to start it right away it wont start but if i let it sit for about 2 minutes then it will start right up and drive good again,it feels like it is running out of gas but I don't think it is,I have started it on the stand with the seat off and held it at wot untill it died out and watched the clear fuel line to the carb and it has fuel in it the whole time

Sounds like a fuel supply problem. Check the vacuum lines at the fuel pump (all of them.really) and see if that helps. You might loosen the gas cap and drive it a little--that is a fairly common problem with the evap/vent system. A crack in a vacuum line can cause problems, especially when the motor is cold, but be almost unnoticeable when the motor warms up. If your fuel tank is higher than your motor, you might bypass the fuel pump entirely by going straight from the tank to the motor with fuel line and see if that makes a difference.(gravity feed)

Try what Beebo said first. If still then it could be either of two problems the carb bowl float is not set right and is cutting off the fuel to soon or the petcock is not letting enough fuel out to keep the carb bowl full. Now I have seen some petcocks having the fuel connector sort of pinched shut and limits the amount of fuel it lets out. I would first get a new petcock they are cheap enough. Then if still happens I would check the float in the carb bowl or you can check it first and adjust if needed then if it still happens get a new petcock or do both. Alleyoop HERE IS HOW TO ADJUST THE CARB FLOAT:

Ok, do this get a cup and ON THE CENTER stand like you said run it at wot until it dies NOW open the the drain hose on the carb bowl and see if at LEAST 1 1/2 oz's of fuel come out after it dies in the cup. Alleyoop

I tried what you said, the bowl is staying full,I even tried a different carb and it still does it,and even when its running good it doesn't have the power it used to

Ok time to check the compression on the motor, Take the SPARK PLUG out and stick your finger in the hole nice and snug , then hold the throttle wide open and crank it. Let us know if you felt a little pressure on your finger get back on it. Alleyoop

Fuel cap vent clogged? Creating a vacuum situation in the fuel tank? The next time it dies quickly unscrew the fuel tank cap and listen for a sucking rush of air into the tank

I already tried it with the fuel cap off and it still does it,I have a compression tester how many psi should it have,

When you test for compression HOLD THE THROTTLE WIDE open you want it to suck in as much air as possible otherwise you will get a low reading. Take a test and tell us what it reads ALleyoop

You'll want 120 psi at least.
