Well, wasn't able to ride it into work today. Didn't make it out of the parking lot before it petered out. Time for a pro.

I thought about that, but I was able to ride it around the block on Saturday. I would think that no gas flow wouldn't have let me do that. I even went to the store and got a couple things.
There is a video online of someone using an air hose to blow out the carb.
Has anyone done this? Is it a good idea or did this guy just make a slew of new problems for himself?

Fuel starvation can show up as runs fine going slow, say going around the block but get on the gas on the highway and it runs for maybe a min then basicly runs out of gas. That can happen from a float set too low, a fuel pump not pumping enough, a partialy plugged fuel filter.
I am not sure putting air into the carb like that is a good idea. I would expect to see a gasket get blown out and other damage, but a new carb is not that expensive should the high pressure kill it.

Thanks JCT. I DID get up to speed, though. I max out (and did on Saturday) at about 50.
I have it on craigslist, but on Friday or Saturday I may look into taking it in for professional repair. New carb is only $65 on EagleATV, so yeah. I may try the air first if I can find some air to do that.

$65.00 is too high. Check with our tile ad vendors at the top of the site or even Fleabay. You can easily knock $20.00 off of that price. The danger with blowing out the carb with air is the diaphragm over the vacuum slide. The float valve is also kind of delicate.

Found one on Amazon for $25 and free shipping. Thanks for the heads up, Bashan.
I figured something like that for the carb. The one he used it on looks to be OK, but it looked to good to be true.

I think the air blew the fuel out the overflow port it could have blown some crud with it . I don't see it clearing the small holes in the jets and the passages in the body of the carb . John
