The voltage should come in at 50 to 100v AC so go up high enough to handle a little over 100. I've seen a good stator pump out 112v AC on the red/black. You probably have a 200v setting on the multi.

now it's between 19 and 30 volts Is that at IDLE? If so thats ok NOW REV IT UP to about 4-5k rpms and see if it goes up above 50VAC. Alleyoop

HAHAHA, so your problem is NOT starting is that right? if so then the current test of your stator is ok. Once the motor starts and the flywheel spins around the stator it makes more JUICE and it should then read 50+VAC. So if you are testing why it does not start. First thing is to check if you are getting SPARK at the Spark Plug by holding it ON THE VALVE COVER(NOT THE FRAME). If spark then it is fuel delivery problem or there is a problem with the actual motor internally.
So IS THE PROBLEM NOT STARTING NOW? I have Lost my way on this thread(HAHA). IF SO lets back up and test for SPARK and FUEL.
SO TELL ME IS THE CURRENT PROBLEM NO SPARK? Alleyoop

Ok re-read a few posts back and the last thing was the PLUG was wet which indicates NO SPARK. So your stator appears to be fine so it is either your PICKUP COIL, CDI or COIL or if those are fine then you have a COMPRESSION PROBLEM or TIMING PROBLEM. Alleyoop SO FOLLOW THESE TESTS and see what you come up with. scooterdoc.proboards.com/thread/9349/great-spark-video-tests[/quote]

NO NOT THE FRAME TEST FOR SPARK ON THE VALVE COVER. SPARKING ON THE FRAME DOES NOT MEAN SQUAT.

Ok, but always test for spark on the MOTOR, it may spark on the frame but not on the motor. If the motor is NOT grounded good to the frame the spark plug will not fire . So check the ground wire from the motor to the frame. IF there is no ground wire then put a ground wire on one of the VALVE COVER bolts and the other end to the same place the Battery Is grounded to on the frame. Alleyoop
