Hey, the Stunbird was a gift car. I got it for $50. What a gift. It was freekin FAST though. 5 speed manual. That car flew for what it was. And it was a medium brownish gold in color. So THERE! It's not like I was driving a Pinto or something... Hit 'em in the back and they explode...

I am so very sorry........that you had to drive a Sunbird. I got you beat though...a Ford Pinto!:
Yes folks the 1972 Ford Pinto combines the speed of a garbage truck with the handling of .....um.....a garbage truck. Get one today and find out why the big three had to be bailed out!
Oddly enough I wrecked the little gem on black ice. Yellow with white wall tires . I had 1980 with a 4 speed and aftermarket ac . The ac was amazing and the engine took its licks all I could dish out . That car was inexpensive to run . Then I moved on to a Mercury Capri another 1980 same engine with automatic , the Pinto would have ran circles around Capri . Bless the ford 2.3L . John You might be a redneck if:

Oh man.... After the sTunbird, I wound up with a (cue Johnny Olsen) Brand New, Manual Transmission, Dual 55 Air Con, Flip down rear seat, ... Since I had SOOoooooo many hot babes lined up to ride with me, I said to heck with it all and took my first paycheck from my new bands opening night and went and bought this. Only, it had a posi rear end with Michigan State Police blue paint. It was a former State Police chase car. And I was in love... 1971 Chevy Nova Super Sport with Posi-traction rear end, 400ci powerhouse, cop trans, dual Holly pumpers... Oh baby, How I miss you.

I had a bright yellow 72 pinto wagon, got it new and it served me well. The wagons did not light up like the little ones when they got hit in rear. My parents bought a vega about the same time, don't remember exactly but the engine died big time and would have cost almost as much as it was worth to repair so they had to get another car.

48 when I left the house this morning. I was completely warm without any heated clothes. It's been mild as can be down here with no rain on my work days so I'm raking up the miles. It'll be 65 when I ride home, I'll have to stow the ski jacket in the bucket. I know this weather won't hold but it's coming up on Christmas and I'm riding every work day. I'll be at 10K on the SYM by early spring if this weather holds.

We are in for a heat wave up this way. Back up to "normal" temperatures in the high 20s.

Wife and I went out for a 1/2 hour ride, it was 76. It was supposed to rain tomorrow but they cancelled that so I'm riding to work. It's supposed to be 56 in the morning, positively balmy. I love it down here, I really do.
