46 this morning when I left for work. It's odd how the same temp can seem colder at times. This morning 46 seemed like 36 but I wasn't cold. I think it has to do with humidity and atmospheric pressure. It was 55 when I left for home at 5. It was beautiful, the sky was rose colored with purple clouds till the light slipped slowly away. Then the dark was a backdrop as the SYM hummed and I floated along in the seclusion of my helmet. I thought "you can't buy feelings like this". They are priceless, and pity the ones who have never ridden. Rich

I know what you mean, it's their choice but I guess I just don't understand the reasoning. Then one of the jerks in a land barge cuts me off and I want to deflate their tires. But I control myself and simply key them.

I was thinking of putting the old movie chariot spikes on my bike so that all I have to do is swerve over a bit and I can carve my name into their paint. Down all the way into the 70's here lately in the AM. Brrrrr.... Actually wore my old full leather jacket the last couple of days and was comfy as heck. Back to work tomorrow. Gotta strap the briefcase on the bike somehow. Have to look presentable you know... My boss is trippin on me riding to work. He's all flipped out about how I have to look 'Professional' and all that. Gee Mr. Boss man, formal attire here in Hawaii is board shorts with slippers and an aloha shirt. LOL If he saw my car, he'd quit bugging me about riding the bike. LOL It looks like it just broke out of the grave. LMBO!

25ish on Sunday I went out to start my scooter . Hit the button and backfire via the tailpipe (that can't be good) try 5 or 6 times still no start . So I primed it and and it started up with a fight . I let it idle about a minute , I hit the throttle and boggie and bangie . I thought timing , I do have the variable timing CDI in . Opened the glove swaped cdi's back to running great . Installed new variabe timing cdi lets see what happens at the end of the week .

Well there was frost on the pumpkin on the way into my studio this morning boy,,,, and in anticipation of the cold I broke out my double gloves,,, thick wool inner gloves with a thick leather outer glove,,, nice and warm,,,, BUT they almost got me killed cause they are so nice and thick I can't feel anything and there is no control,,,so I almost missed the front brake at a lite,,, nice,,, scared the sh!t out of me,,, so they get shelved AGAIN,,, in favor of a thinner pair,, and also as a double bargain I ran out of antifog for my helmet,,, so I took it as an omen and I drove home in my truck

40º and dense fog today in Appleton. It was so thick I got wet walking across the parking lot and I swear I heard Big Ben tolling in the distance.
And the Packers got stomped.

Back about 9 years ago, Michigan was in a massive snowstorm that hit right after a serious heat wave that day. The resulting winter fog was so thick that there was an accident of more than 200 vehicles on the freeway. The wife and I were headed to Lansing for something, I don't recall what now... and we took the side road. Made it with no incidents. Amazing how much different a quarter mile makes. It was January of 2005.

34 this morning when I left the house. I was fine with my ski jacket and gloves. It was 45 at the clinic at 4:15 and starting to mist so I packed up and left early. We weren't doing anything anyway because of the holiday. I got rained on just a little on the way home but it was OK, I missed the worst of it by leaving early. Score one for my side.
