@borninabarn, Bashan, adamhoyer, scoot, cyborg, jct842 just a p.s. to my last tread I'm also a old harley davidson rider/ owner and I'm happy to say I love my scooter it's been fun to work on and ride, I've always been a customizer, and can't seem to leave the scooter alone one up grade seems to lead to either, but i'm surprised that more riders don't want to customize their scooters and make it there own, maybe it's because most riders buy a scooter for cheap transportation and don't care what it looks like(.to each his own).myself I love to see what is possible custom paint, chrome, more horse power, ect.I guess it's just the old harley rider in me. I'm old and couldn't pick up a harley if it fell over so my scooter is the next best thing, and I'm enjoying it very much, I hope you are too.as one harley rider to another remember always. ride shiney side up rubber side down.later

I still ride "big bikes",,,but i love my scooter just as much,,,it truely is a blast to ride and in some ways alot more funtional ,,,like when i go to the store and come back loaded down like a pack mule,,,,gotta love that step thru floor,,,and yes i would try and upgrade to a higher quality part no matter what it is ,,,these scoots aren't cheap buy in for nothing,,,,some original parts are (i'll be kind ) of questionable quality

Since you have to get one make sure you get the larger dia. Performance variator. That does make a difference.
