I was told "Don't worry about that one, it don't do nothing" when I asked about the thing on the right. All the other one says is on/off/unlock/push/lock.

Ok, looking at the key, I'm guessing that the thing on the right is some kind of safety/anti theft lock.

Thanks Bashan, I found that one right before I found this forum. I tried it that way about 20 times so far. I know I should hear a click or some darn noise when it works. I already broke a little tab holding the plastic on, that's when I stopped and found this site. (Ya,, hind sight)

OK, you're froze up. Let me find Alleyoop before we go any farther. He knows trikes inside and out. Just be patient, I'll find him.

HI guys yes that video is how to open the seat on that model trike. BUT it is not pulling on the cable enough to release it that is the problem. SO YOU will have to go underneath by the ignition switch and pull on the cable by hand then once you get it open you will need to adjust the cable. You have to realize it only pulls on the cable VERY LITTLE so any slack and it will not open. What I would do after you get it open is get a CHOKE cable heck even a piece of wire and attach it to the mechanizm and mount the choke pull and or wire where it is easy for you to get at so you can open the seat anytime you want without the key. Evenin Alleyoop , Cool, I can do that now that I know where to look. Thank you. Looks like I will be on this site for a while, The trike needs a lil "fine tuning". I need to adjust the idle and tighten up the throttle cable, adjust the chain, it's loose and it's binding up as the trike moves. We know the owner and he bought it back in 09 and has not used it much at all. He's 90+.

"Does he need to remove plastic Alley?"
Good question.

He may be able to reach up there from the rear because that seat locks at the back near the lights. Same with the ignition if he can get up there without taking plastics off. On mine I would just need to take the Handlebar cover off to get at the igintion but on his is in a different spot which he may be able to reach from under the front wheel. He should be able to see the cable. I would try from the back and from under the front wheel. Alleyoop
