Well my dad left his Linhai at my house this week as we had planned a little ride this next weekend. Well today I decided to ride scooter in to work today as it was the first nice day this weed. So I hop on dads scoot as it is more reliable than mine right. Well I leave work and somthing just does not feel right. Stop look well damnit the rear tire is flat. I get it down to the coop fill tire with air mind you this tire only has maybe 1000 miles on it just had it replaced in march. No signs of a leak don't hear any thing then I push the valve stem to side its leaking like a siv crap that is the second valve stem now. About 100 miles after he put tire on the new valve stem leaked too. So any way now I am sitting waiting for him to come pick me up so we can go grab trailer and take this thing home. The part that pisses me off is that I am missing my youngest Last little league game I am suppose to be taking pictures for every one. So while I am waiting I'm on my blackberry posting this.

What kind of valve stem? Did he replace it with another one like the factory style with the brass tube glued into a piece of rubber? I'd stay away from them. Either use a stubby straight rubber stem, or a bolt in brass right angle stem.

I like the bolt through ones. even if you should get a leak they are not going to let loose all at once like the rubber pull through ones. I had a rear on my riva let loose at an indicated 70 and had there been a car in the other lane I would have lost it. kept it upright and let it coast to a stop. putting on a front brake with a flat rear is asking for trouble. If a front were to let loose at speed you are going to be in deep sheet with out paddle. john
