Mornin Boys, I did a search for "transmission oil change on a 150cc trike" and didn't come up with any info or pictures. I also went to FAQ and did the same. That one and the search on the right side just never works for me. I was wondering what kind of oil to use, how much, how to check it and where to put it on at. I also have/had one more question, but DARN if I can remember what it was.

I found this on my shelf, can I use it?? The reason I am asking is I had a guy on an ATV board tell me to use 90# oil in my Polaris ATV x2 in the gear box. It lasted about 2 months. Cost me $2000.00 and 2 days to get the trans out and 2 days to get it back in and a week to get it fixed.

Biggest tip is don't overflow it.

Hobbs for the trike 8 oz no more than that. You will find the drain on the CVT side underneath near the back you cannot miss it. Now to fill is a joke and you do not want to do it that way believe me. The Fill plug is GET THIS BEHIND the SPROCKET those chinese probably are still laughing.. you have to take the sprocket off to get at the fill hole.
BUT DON't sweat it use the TRANNY VENT HOSE to fill it with 8 oz of gear oil. I am sure you have oil cans with the small tips on the end of them so put 8 oz of oil in the can and stick the tip in the tranny vent hose and squirt squirt squirt(HAHA). Alleyoop

I use a small plastic syringe to do such chores. They are available at veterinarian supplies and of course on line. Mine hold 2 oz.

That's a good idea richardv. My dog has a vet appointment Monday. I'll pick one up then.

Oh heck, The Wife just told me I have one. I use it when I'm smoking deer and turkey. I inject the flavor I want in them. These can be picked up at the super market.

Even better as it's larger and probably cheaper because I had to buy a box of 24 from the vet supply. It's handy to have those lovely ladies around isn't it.
