Hi Guys, So I fixed my belt issue and 2 weeks later i have an oil leak issue. massive amounts of oil coming out of the bike to where I had to buy 2 bottles to make sure i made it home. Ill do some research here on the forum but you input is savior as always. O yeah, Im not sure if this is related but my fuel gauge is stuck on full now where it has always worked before...

Without seeing it, it is one of 2 things: Either you over filled the oil, and blew out your oil seals, which would be the case if it is coming out of your fan area. Or, you have a cracked head, or a leaky head gasket. I think you blew your oil seals.
The seals are behind the fan, flywheel, and stator. You have to take the flywheel and stator off. Your stator, which is your electrical generator, is surely coated in oil. Your bike is probably going to lose spark here pretty quick.
The seals are what seals around that crank shaft, that spins the fan, and the flywheel.

If the oil is coming from the Fan(Flywheel area) it is probably the Crank Oil Seal behind the Plate. If so you would need to get a FLYWHEEL puller and take off and the stator and pickup coil and then the Plate the OIL SEAL is in the Plate on the inside of it.
If the oil is dripping from the front by the HEAD then FIRST check if the oil is coming from the VALVE COVER and sipping down behind the shroud down to the fan area. Alleyoop

Thanks guys for the response I did over fill it Im sure it is the seal. never had an oil leak until i over filled it... i thought that it would burn off like the last time i over filled it. is there a video or a tutorial on this procedure? is a flywheel pulley something that can only be bought at a bike shop? and the seal. can i make it from gasket material? or must it be ordered?

Yes you will need a new gasket for the Right side Plate. Alleyoop Also get the HONDA OIL SEAL, as you can see it is a little bigger and much better it is what I use.

Happy 4th guys,
Im looking at Rich's engine tear down. Do i have to take all that stuff off(variator, starter, etc., etc.) just to get to the seal behind the plate?
teardown is confusing as fork Is there a guide to getting back there besides the tear down?

Alleyoop The oil sprays forward so im not sure if its coming from the valve cover although everything in front ov thecalve cover is doused with oil
