Now you are getting into another topic of removing emission parts.
1. Plug tank vent then drill hole in gas cap.
2. CVT vent runs to fuel filter then atmosphere.
3. Throw airbox into garbage and install unifilter.
4. Block ERG/PAIR port on valve cover. Install another fuel filter on hose then to frame.
5. Plug one vacuum port on carb inlate if it is dual. Vacuum lines should only connect to the carb and fuel petcock.

So there is oil all over the place again. I "blew" dried the air filter and went for a test ride and there is oil all over the place. not coming out of the valve breather because i cut that part of the hose off. is it the filter or is something else going on? the oil is all dripping down from the air box. no other leaks apparently. i took the air box off and cleaned it. it was full of oil and fuel. the clear tube filled right back up with oil and over flowed. i am sure the air filter is soaked with oil again. The snorkel going to the carb has no oil in it so obviously it isn't leaking from the egr. although the egr clamp isn't on properly. i doubt that has anything to do with it though. If it was coming from the cvt case hose into the air box id have to assume that it would also be leaking out of the cvt case since when i changed the belt last time i didn't put a new gasket on but that side is completely clean.all the oil is dripping from under the airbox down onto the engine so i say it is coming from the valve breather. My air filter is possibly still clogged could that cause it? what else could cause oil to go into the air box in excess?

well amidst the abundance of fml one seemingly good thing happened, i found an old air filter which in comparison to the current is beyond half way decent and its dry!

Ok, The Valve Cover Vent HOSE HAS TO VENT otherwise pressure will build up and blow it out. So take the VALVE COVER VENT Hose that is connected to the AIR FILTER off the AIR FILTER. Plug up the connector on the AIR BOX. Now take a Fuel Filter and put it on the END OF THE VALVE COVER HOSE and ZIP TIE it HIGHER than the VALVE COVER NO KINKS IN THE HOSE and see if that stops the oil blow by.
AND YES if the AIR FILTER is full of oil that is not allowing the VALVE COVER VENT hose to VENT so it blows out more oil.

Yea that is a lot of oil coming out of it and smoking it is time for a rebuild sorry to say. Or you can put a fuel filter on the end of it and ride it till it quits on you BUT always check the oil level before you ride it. Alleyoop

BBK for a little extra cash.
