2014 taotao gt5. Installed big bore kit. Wont start. Just makes high screeching noise? Cam chain maybe i dont know!! Lost compression so had to do top end build.

If it is making high screeching noise that is not good. Take the Head off and TURN IT BY HAND sounds like the rings are scraping against the wall, maybe part of a ring came out of it's slot and now you have maybe trashed the jug and piston. Alleyoop

By "won't start" do you mean the engine will crank and turn over but not start or will the starter just not turn the engine at all?

Ok so update..... Had some bolts loose tightened them now it turns over but still wont start!! Fuel is not an issue checked that. Have good combustion and spark any idea why it wont start?

The boltsthat hold the rockerarm assembly were loose. I tightened them now engine turns over but wont start. Im thinking it could be timing though i have set it a few times maybe off a link or two on camshaft. Any ideas?

Set the timing, then set the valve clearances. You then should have compression which you can check. You need fuel, spark, and compression for the engine to run.

Put up pictures of the cam sprocket aligned and a picture of the Case pointer pointing the flywheels timing marks. We can tell you if your off or not. Alleyoop

Let me give a little history... We lost compression so we installed a big bore kit to restore compression. Piston was black when we took it out and installed new piston rings and head. After installing still wont start. We will take a picture of camshaft and flywheel and post it. If timing is good where to go from here?

If timing is good and the motor turns over but does not fire. Then you have a few things to check. 1. Take the Boot Cap off the plug on the motor and insert a spare plug and hold it on the valve cover and crank it over and see if it is fireing. 2. If Firing then put the boot cap back on the plug on the motor and crank it again. NOW take the plug out and see if it is wet or dry. 3. If DRY then no fuel is being drawn into the intake. 4. If WET then the plug in the motor is bad IF #2 above proved to be TRUE.
So get back on some of the above. But if the timing is off all could be working but your off to many degrees. Alleyoop
