Well it's either the cdi or the pickup coil,,,I just reread your post ,,,no battery ,,,so what are you running a capacitor?,,, the stator may have taken a dive and not making any juice,,,when you kick it do the lights come on till it stops spinning?

i would be checking if the engine ground either came off or the wire broke,,if you have a decent engine to frame ground i would be suspecting the rest of the ignition system which is the cdi or the little coil by the flywheel that sends a low voltage signal to the cdi and tells it to fire

If im getting voltage to the cdi nd up to the ignition coil using a 12v test light shouldn't it spark when i plug the the coil in? Where would the engine ground be?

just run a good sized wire like 8 or even 10 gauge from a good frame bolt to the valve cover and see if it will lite

It had spark something happend.. But im getting power to the coil just not through the coil to the plug... I should be getting 12vdc going into the coil right?.. But how should i hook up the wire to the valve cover?
