OK, you have a direct line from the gas tank to the Fuel Filter to the carb no petcock.
You do need some kind of AIR FILTER otherwise you will have a hard time starting and running that motor. So google for a 50cc 18mm carb air filter Alleyoop
Something like this The Air Intake size is 39mm in diameter.

Let me ask look at the carb on the left side and see if it has the Fuel Ratio Mixture screw available MEANING IT HAS A SLOT FOR A SCREWDRIVER or is it PLUGGED like in this picture:

As far as the screw goes there is no slot for a small screw driver it loos like someone used a grinder and filed it all the way off

OK that means it is plugged. Do you have any tools like a drill and drill bits what tools do you have. Yeah I do have a drill and drill bits bunch of screw drives socket wrenches of just about every size I've got pliers etc etc and so forth

Great then take the carb off and drill out the PLUG the screw is behind the plug otherwise you will need to buy a new carb with the screw available. REMEMBER ONLY DRILL 1/8 DEEP measue 1/8 and then wrap a piece of tape or mark the drill where the 1/8 is DO NOT DRILL DEEPER then just get a small pointed screw and screw it in and VIOLA the plug comes out.
