I could use the benefit of everyone's experience. Time to buy a new battery for my 49cc Icebear trike. I don't care about price as much as quality. Gell? Lead acid? Lithium? Could use all input before I pull out the plastic

I've had great luck with regular oldie lead acid batteries myself,,,I figure why spend a ton of dough on a battery (i.e.Gell/lithium) ,,,I just buy good brands,,yuasa is the brand I usually get but interstates are good as well

Don't have any experience with the new lithiums, but Cyborg is right, the standard lead-acid batteries are cheap and work well, as long as you keep up the maintenance (add water when needed, charge at the proper rate when needed, and for gods sake if you store it over winter, disconnect it and charge it before you store it)
I prefer AGM as I'm tired of messing with electrolyte levels...

I'll also go along with AGM. Lithium is the modern choice but also the modern price.

I also stay with what came with it but when in storage I do use my Battery Tender which I believe helps them last longer

It's my belief that should there be no drain on a battery (such as clocks and efi computers) it can go a long time with out charging it. Not so with a less than perfect battery. I have found the batteries I have put chargers on seem to not last as long, some of which were agm batteries that do not tolerate any form of over charge. I did have a auto charger some years ago that was supposed to not over charge designed for bikes and it died when I stuck it on the boat battery.

A battery tender isn't a typical battery it as a micro prosser so it will never boil water or over charge a battery and in most cases it will make the battery's last even longer. My coach has the font coach battery and rear house systems battery are now about 8 year old. They battery system will shut off when not needed.
