I don't understand why you wouldn't be able start the bike without the kickstart mechanism in? I took mine completely out of my scooter and never have put it back in. It is mechanical and should have no bearing on anything.Earlier I thought, by your saying that it would only start with it in that you had meant that the kickstart was the only way that you were able to start your scoot. I understand now, that your start switch works for one of your brake levers. You dont have to remove all of he mechanism though. Just the kick lever, usually.

Ok. Let us know what ya find. It could be that your pads are slipping inside that clutch. Sandpaper may save it. Heres a good vid for inspecting and servicing it.

New Battery arrived and was installed. Also the brake switch was just a matter of WD 40 like suggested but it actually needs to be replaced. I cannot get the nut off of the clutch assembly, even with someones help. I think I have to find an impact driver. If someone would, please link me to an ebay auction for an inexpensive replacement left handed brake switch.
Thanks again

seems the clutch is jammed because if I try to hand turn it, it wont budge. Even with the spark plug out, I try to rotate it by hand by the clutch, by the belt and by the pulley assembly to try to get the clutch to turn and nothing. Maybe thats normal though. Im not sure about it. I will try to get an impact driver the beginning of next week and pull it off but the nut is super tight.
thanks

Yeah, theres a 34mm nut under there too! Search Y.T. for various tricky ways to get them off This MAY be your switch. I'd say get yours out first to compare them. linkdanny

The 50cc engines are a bit different from a 150 in that the starter mech does need the case in place as there is a bushing in the case.
The first thing I would do is remove the belt. The rear wheel turns but the clutch face doesn't? You will have to remove the clutch to find what is jambed. I can't visualize how that could happen.

yes the wheel and clutch bell can turn freely but the clutch will not. I Think something is wrong or jammed inside the clutch and since there is a little wobble on my clutch bell, plus something jammed, Im just going to replace the whole thing,. If someone would send a link to a replacement, I think it would be a wise choice Thanks again

This appears to be yours, according to your engine # . The listing shows all measurements with pics. I'd suggest , you remove yours first and compare measurements to it. 1P39QMB clutch For your info, when looking for CVT , engine , and component parts use your engine number and GY6 to narrow your search. Sometimes, parts will also be identifiable by your make and model. But we're dealing with China so, I always try to compare to my original part. danny

Do your self a favor and take the clutch out first before ordering one.
