I have had a similar one, 15 years old Sears model, used on my cruiser bikes, Gold Wings and garden tractors. The only problem is that for some it doesn't go low enough. For those times I drive the bike up on to 2x4s to gain clearance. It's also a bit hard to store is space is limited. Sears also had an aluminum model that is lower. But they are going out of business and I don't know who makes it for them.

With scooters one thing you have to figure is the plastic that is under the scooter. You probably won't be able to lift directly on the plastic and with it off most have irregular shaped bottoms that will have to be shimmed up.
When I built my garage I often wished I had put a beam in so I could used a chain fall/block and tackle to lift a scooter. Since you can't work on them with out removing plastic and seats that would have been perfect. A large boat winch and a couple pulleys would do the trick.

I had to build this to lift my '98 Honda VF750C Magna; The stack was to reach up to the pivot point of the rear swing arm. Luckily it had good ground clearance so it wasn't difficult to get under it.

I had one I used on a Honda Goldwing in the past. Mine had eyelets on it at the base to run a strap on each side to help secure the bike from falling over. With a scooter one has to deal with the plastic under it though. I have an electric cable wench in my shop and I use it to raise my scooter and to lift the front of my riding mower to access the blades.

If you have enough room......Harbor Freight puts these on sale for less than $300 a couple of times a year. Don't believe I'd sell mine, for the price I paid for it. Has plenty of space for your scoot, a coffee cup, half of the tools you own, and even an optional ash tray. It's nice to have all of the essentials up off the floor.

Harbor freight also has 2 frame lifts on sale right now.
One 5.5" to 17" lift for $90.
One 4.5" to 19" lift for $160.
Again these are frame lifts not sure how that works under scooters.
Maybe a small piece of plywood to spread out the weight would work.

With my 3 Gold Wings (1200,1500,1800) it wasn't a frame lift. They lifted on the exhaust and others needed accommodations. So anything should be possible. Ya think. We picked up my neighbors 150cc scoot with mine.

The cycle lifts are great if that fits in your budget. Right now they are on sale for $329 through the end of the month with a coupon at Harbor Freight.
