Ok Been talking about the Sissy bar for some time now. I have a bag that attaches to a sissy bar this was the primary reason I wanted to get this done. So here are the pics. So really hard to put a sissy bar on a scooter when you consider that the seat opens up so the bar has to move. The zip ties are temporary. I am going to fasten the cussion on to the bar. Also I have to Paint the mounts find a blue that comes close to the scooter color.

So does that swivle up and back so you can lift the seat? I have been wanting to make a back rest/sissy bar, but the whole mounting issue has been giving me fits.

I have the same conceptual problem. I use my under seat storage a lot.

Yep it lifts up and back That was the biggest issue to getting the sissy bar installed was being able to lift it out of the way to access the compartment. That is where I keep my tool bag and such. Also there are set screws on the pivot points I loosen them and it slides back so the passenger uses it for back rest. I will take more pictures after I get it painted up and take pictures as in its full motion. I did not get home til late and just snapped a few pics with the bag when I got home.

Ok I got the bracket painted today. I was really suprised I found a blue that is quite close in color to my scooter. I know I will never get an exact match with out spending a lot more than the $5 I spent for this can.

So anyway on to the pictures. I only have one thing left to do and that is finish off the back of the rest with some of the vinyl covering I have. But I really like the way it turned out. Probably better than I expected. It works so slick. Tips right up out of the way and holds my duffel bag perfect. Also gives me couple more places to fasten to if I need to haul something on the back of the seat.

Is it strong enough to lean on the back rest as a driver? This looks like a very viable option for me.

Yep. I have no problem leaning against it. I got about 270 lbs.
