thanks Todd! so far its been fine on windshield! except the extra weight making it vibrate the windshield! So any other Ideas much appreciated! I put a piece of weather stripping to help support it at top of my dash too, but if I can find a better way to mount it that will be awesome thanks alot going to look at pics now.

right now using suction cup the Big Guy, Rich, from ScootDawg said he has been using the suction cup for 3yrs with no problems! I add a second velcro mount to with a piece of weather stripping velcroed to dash! We have many bumpy streets and the most train tracks ever in our town gave it a good test, holding good! really like that mirror mount if it would work not sure if mirror hole is 11mm? cgi.ebay.com/RAM-Motorcycle-Bike-Mirror-Mount-TOMTOM-ONE-XL-GPS-/170227431259?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0#ht_1228wt_911 and it is also pretty expensive wish I had somewhere to attach the handle bar mount but all my bar is covered also saw they make brake reservoir mounts!

heres pic! got some 3m weather stripping and the GPS velcroed to the sriping on dash and using Suction cup for extra support, till I figure out something better! But it seems to be holding up good! found a bar I might be able to mount to with the handle bar mount? Just got to trim some plastic!

I personally dont trust suction cups. Maybe just personal preference. I like the Ram mounts for the scooters or motorcycle. Suction cups I leave for the cars so if they let loose they have something to fall into. Are those the ram mounts with the u-bolts mount under the handlebar cover? Trying to see which ram mount to get from ebay.

Trying to see which ram mount to get from ebay. Well yes and NO. If I had known that they sold the Diamond mount with Ubolt I would have gotten it. I actually added the bought the Ubolt and drilled my standard Diamond mount to fit the Ubolt. I would have gotten this. www.mountguys.com/product_p/ram-b-231z.htm

They do have some thats a u bolt, but the one I got is just one screw plastic piece with rubber cushion in the inside to keep from damaging the mirrors, it comes with them for handle bars any ways worked good! alot better then the suction cup and velcro mount I was using before its in previous pics in the thread. I have been happy with it wish I got the case that weather proofed it but it said it only fit for 1 and 1/4 so I got one that said 1.3 but now realize that 1 and 1/4 will fit around mirror. so could of gotten a mount with a weather proof zipper case! Heres the link for RAM just enter ur brand of GPS and model select motorcycle ram-mount.com/Products/GPSMounts/tabid/135/Default.aspx

the one I bought for my majesty is still under the seat of my car from when I tested it a long time ago. I could never figure out how to mount it where it was shielded from the sun light. in direct light it is impossible to see. I might try molding some fiberglass to block some light and paint it flat black. If I have to stop and cover it to see it I might just as well take my garmin etrex legend out of my pocket and be able to have a gps that you can zoom the map out or in as necessary. Those 5-600 dollar one meant for a bike you can probably see in sun light but I got better uses for that kind of money. john
