A person I know that retired goes around to as many auctions that he can. I know!!!! Well anyway, yesterday he told me about a scooter that was at one of the auctions that was held last weekend. He said that there was a scooter there that sold for $100.00 . He also said that the scooter didn't run and he didn't know if he could find the parts ot fix it. So he didn't bid on it. I asked him what kind was it and how many cc's. He said it was an INDiAN and didn't know how many cc's. See, I missed again.

I know what you mean, I hear about those things from people that don't know squat about scoots and it sounds like you really missed something. Maybe you do miss out once in a while but I've learned that most of the time they really are a POS. A guy in Talladega heard I was into scoots and I wasted a nap at lunch driving out into the sticks to look at a "real classic scooter!". It was a rusted up Eagle 50cc that was completely seized. After this kind of thing happened twice more I stick with the nap. Anyway, who knows if it was a real Indian? He might call everything that looks sorta like that "an Indian", he might call all scooters "an Indian", somebody might have told him it was "an Indian". People are FOS, I don't get to wound up anymore, call me jaded, I don't care, I'm "an Indian", (actually, I really am). Rich

I haven't had a good rabbit hunt in years. Make a rabbit trap out of milk crates. Cut out one end and make a trap door and channels for the door to slide in. string to a trip and bunny with no shot. Oh Yea.

Does the good doctor and scooterran know that food can be purchased in a thing called a "grocery store" rather inexpensively? Rich

I lived off the land when I was a youngster. I used to have several dogs that would run the rabbits in a weed patch. I would stand off a trail with a board, when the rabbit came running down the trail, wacko. When I went home with 4 rabbits, my mother told my dad, it's time to get the boy a gun, don't you think? I ended up with a 4-10 over and under. Enjoyed every moment of it. Did a lot of rabbit hunting, pheasant hunting, and quail hunting. At that time, a deer was never herd of where I grew up, just 30 miles from where I live now. You had to drive down to southern Illinois to hunt deer. Later in my life I got married to a wonderful women. She would cook anything I brought home, and boy, could she cook. I also raised 2 boys on wild game and to this day, when they come home they ask for some kind of wild game or fish. Cheeper at the store? I don't know about that but, how about all those chemicals your putting into your body. Good for you, I don't think so. Wild game has to be taken good care of the moment you get it. Properly taken care of makes a wonder meal. Bashan, I like your comment. A grocery store, that's where I buy salt and pepper. LOL'S

I grew up in the WNC mountains and my pals all hunted for the table. We are talking 12 year old kids. For many of those families it would be the only way to put meat on the table. One kid I knew would be given 3 .22 shells and he had better bring back 3 squirrels, rabbits, what ever, 3 shells, etc. If he could not count for a shell that did not get game he got a dressing down. It was just the way of life for them in those days. Welfare of any kind was not acceptable, these people were poor but proud and they took care of their own. All of tose kids turned out to be good adults. Compare that to today and think about it a bit. By the way do not make rabbit a regular table treat. The meat is too lean and you will need a little fat or the body rebels.
