Great bike. My wife is loving hers. She has 4200 miles on it since we bought it in September 08. But get this. She started this summer with 1780 and finished the season with 4200. Solid motor, good ride and decent handling. I've had a devil of a time staying near her at 70 mph and she told me she buried the 85 mph speedo a couple of times. Of course she's a skinny thing so your mileage may vary.

Fubar, I understand the wrenching comment!!! I have been fortunate in that with the exception of the Ice Bear 150-8 I have had to do very little wrenching on the rest of the stable. I have always wanted a Honda Rebel but need the auto tranny of a scoot. When you get back fill us in on the performance of the Rebel.

What's that? All I do is check the oil every 500 miles or so. She gets about 66 to 68 mpg. That's pushing a windshield and the speed limit. One day she rode 210 miles on the Interstate roundtrip, all by herself. Keep in mind she's a relative rookie and only been riding two years so she was a little stiff. She ran the trip home, 105 miles nonstop, in about an hour and forty minutes. Not bad for a "little" 250cc. I was impressed. At 5' 7" you're the perfect size. I'm about that size and it's a reasonable fit.

wisconsin.freecycleshopper.com/motorcycles-and-parts/06-honda-rebel.htmlOK I'm back with the rebel in hand, whew what a LONG ride!and yep i traded a pellet stove for it!,and wow what a bike , it cranked on 1st try and rides like a dream , it has 2 times the acceleration as my scoot , the bigger tires soak up the bumps too ;D don't know about max speed as the speedo is broken, but the paint and chrome are perfect, also need a side view mirror, but i am vary happy with the trade,we drove from Kenosha WI, to tylertown ms in one day , we got in last night at 11:55, 851 miles but still with the gas and food and hotel stay it was only about $550.00 well worth a 2006 Honda rebel with 5500 miles pic,s soon
