A local car dealer bought this at an auction. I was told its a 1972 but it looks like brand new. After I fixed all the fuel problems I got to take if for a test ride. Its very quick with 125cc 2 stroke. Was kind of odd shiftier gears on a scooter but all in all a fun ride. Attachments:

Sweet. There are always oldies like that for sale around SF, but I never have the cash. (or the time to work on them.

i tell you what,, all used scooters being circulated all over asia are from Japan., here's the story behind. a typical japanese family will buy a brand new scooter to ride for summer. when winter comes, these scooters are being dumped in the garage or being given away for free., plus the fact that japan will not register a scooter or mc after 3 years of use. that's how strict their transo system . , NOW some cheap, fly by night businessmen from taiwan, thailand, philippines, indonesia, vietnam, cambodia, malaysia, singapore will go to japan and buy these scooters very cheap.,..a completely built scooter will cost to much in customs tax,,what they do is to take the scooter apart and ship it,(the tax for scooter parts cost a lot cheaper compared to what you pay for tax for the entire scoot). they will r-build these scoots as soon as it arrives to it's destination. some will just slip the entire scooter into a sack of rice and ship it together with other regularly shipped vegetables by sea, i got mine that way, i bought mine only for $175 (converted to USD) stock. it's a dio1 50cc 2 stroke scoot. no tilte/no reg . ,,well it's easy to get a scoot title in asia., no sweat.
