why do my headlights dim when i hit the brakes? why do my headlights flash when i use my turn signals?

You may have a short circuit somewhere. A little bit of dimming of the headlights ay idle when you hit the brakes is normal, because the brake lights make more demand on the electrical system.
But you headlights should not be flashing with the turn signals. You may be able to see them dim slightly, but they should not be going off and on...

Head lights do dim when engine is idling. Check for a bad ground for your turn signal problem.

K bad choice of words they dim a lil when using turn sigs. when i'm riding and hit either brake they dang near cut off!

Some dimming with more load (more light bulbs on) is normal but cutting out to nearly off, indicates a problem I think.

Is your battery fully charged ? are your headlights ac or dc ? what is your not running battery voltage? what is your battery voltage with the scoot running not reved? what is the voltage at the battery running reved up? If you can answer the above questions the problem may get solved. do you have a meter if so do you know how to use it (voltage and resistance)
