The one "extra" I like in a car is the one-touch locking mechanism. I hate it when they automatically lock themselves, I can easily live without power windows, but power door locks make perfect sense. I can lock all the doors at once with the touch of a button-- and that is vastly superior to any other extra device I've ever seen.

I have auto locks on a 97 Plymouth minivan and I like it. Of course I also have the one button lock and release too. I just have to remember to push it to free my passengers.

I definitely see a TMAX in my future... I just hope it isn't a distant future. Though, it'll be as an additional scooter, since I'll never give up the Matrix... too much invested in it, both financially and emotionally. Hey Josh, here something to temp ya... syracuse.craigslist.org/mcy/2025073507.htmlYou could always tell the wife it's an early X-Mas present. ;D M/C

I've been seeing a few in that price range. Though, maybe by the time I'm ready to get one, the TMAX 750 will be available. ;D

It's a little edgy looking, but I like it. It is still a conceptual design so they may soften the look for the market. BMW's in general have a high degree of reliability even with all the technology. This scoot could be a good deal as a 2 or 3 year old "pre-owned". It would be real interesting if they decided to build it in their South Carolina plant. An AMERICAN scoot.

Just wait for the Chinese clone ;D You can be a snob at half the price!! You could probably buy a new scoot every month for the same cost as your monthly payment

You know what BMW stands for don't ya? BIG MONEY WASTED!!! At least that's what most of our mechanics used too say about them (speaking of the car, not the bike). I think I'm going to agree on the closer too $15,000 price tag. I don't get rear cameras and monitors instead of mirrors. Total freakin' waste of money, mirrors are about $30 (maybe not on a BMW) god only knows what that set-up will set you back. I don't understand people's desire too over complicate things like that. Mirrors are simple and adjustable and last forever. Do you have to re-set the cameras if a different rider gets on your Scoot and then re-set everything back? I like the styling, I don't think it's ugly but they've over complicated a simple form of transportation. Huge waste of money IMHO!

I said this on another forum. Will this BMW be any better than a T-Max, Silver Wing or Big Burgman, all of which will cost thousands less?
As far as I'm concerned BMWs haven't been worth the money since the Japs started hanging shaft drive on their multi-cylindered engines. Cycle World did a comparison test between the 1400 Concours and BMW K1300 last year. The Kawasaki won hands down and cost at least three thousand less in base trim. I know the Concours will last as long and cost far less to maintain.
