Jake, That is very good running 55 at 7200 rpms, you can probably run a little lower rpm by going up by 1/2 oz say instead of running 12grams put in 3-12s and 3-13s then it should run around 6800-7000. Reason I can run same speed at lower rpms is my taller tires as well as the 29 tooth front sprocket rather than the 24 that was on there. Alleyoop

Dannicus; I will grant that if he wasn't reaching peak power and needed to turn more rpms to reach it lower gears may actually make him go faster. It would certainly help him get there quicker. Jake can correct me if I'm wrong, but I think he's looking for a speed increase with hopefully a longevity boost without losing all drivability. Lowering your gears so you could go faster just puts you closer to the point at which you will decellerate swiftly to 0mph. The only wheeled vehicle I know of that reaches top speed at peak power is a powered dolly that is used by nasa to take rockets from the hanger to the launch pad at 1mph or less. All others I have seen will accelerate past peak power. They would be slow if they didn't. I suppose a turbine car could reach top speed at peak power but I don't think a turbine would be a practical engine for a scooter. Dannicus, I think you lost me when you said top speed at peak power. Could you elaborate on that so I can understand what you are getting at ? I'm willing to learn something new, but top speed at peak power goes against all of my real world observations. Robb

The dash is *sort of* an OEM one. it looks just like my oem one, but does not "plug-n-ply" so I have to figure out all of the wiring. If I was to go with an aftermarket one it woule be the Vapor or the Koso one.
