left hand a good deal on a complete 80cc motor and on the right buy the parts do it yourself the first time trying this. what would you do.Personally I didn't buy my tools just to have them laying around to collect dust the other hand the pain of bloody knuckles. All opinions welcome personal or professional.

It is time to have your cake and eat it too. Get the engine that you can get the good deal on, swap it out for your current engine, and, also do the work on the engine you already have. That way you will have no down time, can take your time doing the work, and a spare engine when you are finished.
