As you can see by my icon pop1205, I ride a PINK 250B. Custom paint. I would suggest you get your scoot painted by a pro. PLEASE don't use spray can paint, it never looks right. A friend painted mine in return for mechanic work done by my husband. He said if I had brought him the parts and paid him to paint it would have cost about $200 including the helmet, plus the cost of the paint. Now that can get expensive, or not depending on your taste.

I guess it all depends on what you are going for. Mine is rattle can SEM Charcoal. Everyone is always amazed when I tell them I used spray cans. The devil is in the detail. You have to do your prep work. If it is a painted surface, the scuff the paint job with 200. wash with water and mild soap and let dry. Then pary on your first coat and sand it with 400. Spray on your second coat and sand with 400 then 800 then 1200. Then spray on your clear and sand it to 1200 as well and polish. If it is bare plastic, after scuffing the plastic with 200 grit, spray on a primer made for plastics. Go to your local O'Riley's and tell them what you want to do. They will have you good to go in no time. Mine could look a lot better, but it needed a lot of body work.. And honestly, I wasn't going for that kind of look... But the paint is smooth, even and flat.

Rustoleum.and a roller. Don't laugh this is not a joke. there are hundreds of you tubes on painting your car with a roller. I have seen a few and when it is done right you can not tell from a pro paint job. getting a rattle can to lay down an even coat is next to impossible. I am planning to take my riva 180 and make its gold factory paint go away. I liking some thing pastel and possibly a 2 tone. it has a few small chunks and chips out of some edges from previous owners dropping it. It also has rubber trim that I believe I can get at an auto parts/paint store.
You tube has hundreds of paint videos, this is just one. just search there for rustoleum and have at it. john

...or get a paint that blends with Catalyst, this give more luster and durability to the paint.,,doesn't chip easily.,,you can get those paints from car paint shops.
