Tell my why someone with a little bit of knowledge couldn't fabricate a pair of ski's onto a scooter. Now for some of you that would say buy a snow mobile I can't afford it but I do have a pair I just wonder if it would work. We got our first snow of the season and it was a slushy mess I had to drive in it to get to treatment and I was thinking on the machine to myself why not take a set of ski's and weld them onto the frame of the scoot just to use during the snow not deep but when the roads are slush to help. Were I live a 3footer doesn't come but every couple of years most of the time its an 1" or less at any given time. LET IT SNOW LET IT SNOW LET IT SNOW!

Well not to be the Grinch but I just don't think you'd have enough traction to push the thing. A snowmobile has lots of track area touching the snow while the scooter would have the meager few square inches of two wheelers. If you wanted the traction at the wheel you'd have to have pavement which wouldn't work for the skis. If you had enough snow for the skis the rear wheel would just slide. I think with the slush the skis would just scrape on the road. So bah humbug! Rich

P.J. I thought of the same thing as we have at least 6 in. of the white stuff. 1st, I think a guy needs a small rear tire that you could add a chain for traction. Maybe a set of skies on the rear to keep the scoot from going side to side. Now, at least 1 ski on the front to guide the scoot. This one could replace the front wheel. The front ski has to have a cutting rail underneath for the turning. YEP! I think it can be done with a little help from a welder...

I think you guys need to forget the the hole tire thing(no pun intended) and just go with this... If you must have your darn rear tire then at least do this... Alley & Royl, I like your thinking. I'll be there to help rip the fenders off and put the chains on this weekend. Which trike do you want to start with? Burgy or Speedy? ;D And can I have the first test ride, say around upstate New York? Come on guy's I got nothing else to go this week!(*choke, cough*) M/C Luke, nice looking in your scooter/rainsuit matching colors. Are you watering the flowers or mowing the grass? Hard to tell!
