a great article. I stay with scoots because, for me, they are more practical. I love a good motorcycle but I get more bang for the buck with a scoot. If I need to go really fast I would get a bank loan and a Honda Silverwing!!!!!

I really don't understand the need for a debate. Both scooters and motorcycles have their place. A lot of driving factors boil down to what a person can afford. Personally I ride both. I have my Harley's for speed and long ride comfort ( My FLHTC), I use a scooter for local runs. Even toy with my mini bike now and then. Heck one of the IB Compellers even got a trophy from a bike show last year in the trike class. ( Boy was the owner of a Goldwing pissed!) But, that's another story.

Another thing people forget is some have disabilities like I do. I cannot get my right leg up to swing onto the seat due to my Left Hip being fused. I cannot even get on a bike so I need a Step Through design. Alleyoop

Cookies, that CFMoto is quite simular to the TGB R9i. I would stay with the TGb because the 2 I have have proven to be what I was looking for. JMO. Jim, I am like Oop in that while i am quite mobile, an old back injury makes it easier for me to step thru. and I agree that there really is no need for us to choose one over the other. Both are good, it is just a matter of personal needs and requirements. The Real Lefty

I actually like the design of the glory better. I dont really like the 16" wheels on a scoot. With that said theres a fella with the local scoot grp that rides the Honda and it is quite impressive for 150cc scoot. Do you really think the glory matches up to the Honda? I know the performance is pretty close but how is the rest of the quality of the Glory?

Oh, as far as the debate there is none from me. I like them both. I been riding bikes since my teens (47 now) but I just dont enjoy blasting down the hwy like I used to and no way I can ride a sport type bike for very long. Im starting to enjoy slowing down and smelling the roses and seeing the sights more. I made the mistake of getting a lil scoot last year and now i know what I was missin. I cant wait to get another 150cc scoot in about a month ;D I was planning on buying that ladies scoot since we agreed on a fair price but shes not relpying to any of my emails and I do have the urge to get something new again. The one thing thats for certain is that I will be back on a lil scoot soon.

Now why not just substitute an E-Charm. It's darn near three grand cheaper www.scootersonly.netand is practically identical, right down to the wheel size. $1000 for an E-Charm!! I just saw that Zug. Might be worth a drive to Long Island for you. As much as I like GS Motorworks an E Charm is way better.

Talk about a war of Scooter Giants. Scooters Only.net ( Aka In His Grace Auto Repair) on Long Island and New York Motorcycle in Queens are slugging it out. I think they're trying to see who can give CFMOTO scoots away the cheapest.
CFMOTO just offered really great incentives to their dealers in attempt to clear out the remaining '09 inventory. Supposedly CFMOTO will advertise this to the public after the Indy Expo in February.
Evidently these two have started and are "ready to rumble".
(P.S. My shipment is due the first week in Feb)
