Welcome to the forum !! Is the engine kill switch off ? Next I would check for spark. Thats where I would start. There are a bunch of good knowlagable scooter "nuts" who can help you get to the bottom of this quickly !! I have been learning quite abit from them. Just keep asking questions! Even if they are small ones. I am actually rebuilding my scooters engine right now. I'll keep my reply short ! Good luck ! Bill

SuzieQ, because you have a thread (moved to the 50 - 200cc section) I would pay attention to it. There will be more answers and you won't get confused trying to keep straight what is said where. Don't worry, we'll have you scooting in no time. ;D M/C

Since you have this same post listed in 3 different sections- it gets a bit confusing.
Have you checked under "my Nina" yet?

I have an identical looking red 2008 made by zenn from gs motors. Have had fuel delivery problems since new. I did replace the vacuum lines and fuel pump with a mikuni which cured most of the problems but if mine sits for more than a day or 2 it will be next to impossible to start with out squirting fuel or ether in the air intake of carb. I believe the fuel drains out of the lines into the tank. I was thinking of putting a check valve in the fuel line to prevent this. I also may put a chainsaw priming button on it. it runs great once started. john

If you have gas in the float bowl from when you stopped then the scooter should at least start and die if the fuel lines are drained. If your vacuum pump is working properly then the float will fill before your carb runs out of gas. Something else is up that you have to spray ether or gas in there. Checked your valves lately or fuel filter or hoses? Phil had all sorts of grief that turned out to be the pump. He put the stock one back.

Please don't use ether on a scooter carb. It rapidly rots the rubber parts and diaphragm.

He put the stock one back. put a "t" in the vac line and a hose with a cap and SUCK IT before you start it . Place the suck line it a area that will be easy to get to like in the front of the seat .
