another thing, if those headlights are LED then they will not pass any sort of inspection. LEDs are not approved for headlights. just tails and turns.
how loud is that pipe? i cut a few inches off the end of my pipe (identical) and changed the crossover loop into three exit pipes... didnt try to look further than that. would be interested to know what else is deeper in there, you take any pics?
i would ride the scoot as is, and then try replacing the shocks with solid rod and test, BEFORE making any permanent modification towards making it a hardtail. it may end up being not worth making the arse end solid. JMHO

Yeah headlights are halogen so its good there. The pipe is pretty damn loud haha honestly it sounds like a mini harley. I will get a vid when the thing is rideable. And what I was thinking of doing is getting some pipe or square tubing and cutting it to where I would want it to be as far as lowering goes, and then just make mounting holes so I can mount it like a shock and if I dont like it I can just put the shocks back on.

Well I THINK I may have figured out the flasher bit. From what I hear I need a LED specific type relay/flasher because for some reason the regular flasher wont work. Something to do with the LED's not pulling enough power.
I have got quite a bit done the last couple days. I got the seat all welded on as well as the foot pegs. I LOVE the riding position its so comfortable. I ground off most of the excess tabs and such. Also I got the bottom of the floor pan mounted.
I just have to mount and route a few different wiring components as well as the ignition but I am getting really close! I need to make a bracket for my LED taillight as its just ziptied to the frame haha.
After everything is all mounted and routed where it want it to go I think I will then be painting the frame flat black.
I took it for a ride and man is it a different machine! Its so different from how it first started. It really makes me want to lower tho it just feels like it would be more natural. We will see tho.
I will try and get some before and after pics up after I paint it

some types of turn signals such as yours uses a box that turns on the turn signal, but turns off when the connection (in the flasher box) heats to a certain point. it cools, reconnects, and starts the cycle again giving you your turn signal flashing. this is why some people have very SLOW turn signals when they change to LED, or in some cases do not flash at all. you will most likely need an LED specific flasher as you said.

Im also looking for some kind of guide for replacing the head gasket. I have quite a nasty oil leak and I expect that to be the culprit.

Got more done last night. I ground/cut off all the rest of the access tabs and brackets that I wont be using. figured out my high and low beam wiring for my headlights. extended the rest of the wiring.
All I need to do is get stuff ready for where I will be mounting a few switches then she will be ready for paint.
Im shooting to have it painted by the end of the week but we will see how that goes.

LOVE IT!!!!!!!!!!! I'm looking for a new project at the moment and would love to use some of your ideas. I have my 2 seater 200cc swap just about done so I'm throwing ideas around for a one seater for fun.

Glad you like it! I love the one seater. Two people on a scooter just doesnt feel right to me so it made sense to do a one seat design compared to the awkward looking longer seat.

haha thanks! It was a chore thats for sure. I actually cut 90% of the factory wiring and ran all new wiring. That floor pan that I have actually hides quite a bit of it (organized of course) and the rest I have wrapped neatly in loom next to the frame so it doesnt stick out very much.

think i would have tried a through the frame wiring route, a lot of people shy away from this but if you dont mind a slight bulge in the frame where it was cut into to route the wires it would make it a cleaner look( reinforce the frame where you have to cut into it to hide the wires) also i think i might have tried incorporating the the foot pegs for the passenger where you welded the tube stock. just a few thoughts, as for the hard tail if it is too stiff maybe you could lower it with a shorter but stiff shock!
