Hey guys. First post! So I have a 2006 150cc gy6 Sunl scooter that I am working on. I bought it from a guy for $75 and it didnt run or have a title. (I was looking for a project) I just received the title from the DMV. Happy day! and now I want to start work on it. I bought a new battery and changed the oil, did a valve adjustment and boom it started right up. I stripped off all of the panels and I am going for a more custom look and I have a few questions. I have all of my wiring figured out for the custom lights and such but there are a few things I dont know about. I am looking to remove the swingarm permanentally but dont know if I can just take it off or if I need to add some kind of spacer in the wheel where it connects. I am looking to hardtail and lower it as well but I have that figured out ;D Here is what I am working with. (there are a few things different since this picture. No more aluminum box by the handle bars. muffler cut in half. wiring all routed. and a few other things) And (dont laugh) here is a SUPER QUICK photoshop mockup of what I want it to somewhat look like. A few of my ideas have changed but it will be something similair to this.

I like the rendering. About the swing-arm, I think you might have control issues if you make it a hard tail, but that is just my opinion. These small scoots can kinda wander around .

probably be a pain in the @$$ to ride, literally.
lowering like that will also effect your motor angle, which also messes with the carb float and level. consider these things when you do these sort of modifications.

I will just be riding it around town, so no long trips. besides motorcycles were originally hardtailed ;D And if I do have a problem with the carb I have a few ideas in mind on how I can adjust it to be where it needs to be. Did some good work on it today. I am creating a floor pan that will hold all of my wiring and I have about half of it there so far. I got some headlights hooked up and they are super bright. You can see in the picture below that this is about where I will be sitting. Still sketching up ideas on what to do for a seat. The only thing so far that has me a little stumped is how I am going to do blinkers. I have a flasher and blinkers I just cant quite figure out how the wiring needs to go. The flasher has 3 wires. If I could get any help on that it would be much appreciated.

I love it!!! So much more comfortable. haha yeah I need a new tire all together. This one has a leak in it and the tread is worn off quite a bit.

If your seat is going to be suspended , you probably won`t have any control issues. But, it is something to consider.

Bohman, you do have to have low and high beam and at least one has to be on all the time while the scoot is on.
