I haven't driven my truck now in over a week. It's been chilly starts to the days this week, but riding the scoot in to work has been really nice. Usually I have to go to multiple buildings to work and carry tools and equipment with me, but been camped out at the same place for a week and really happy to be able to ride, ride, ride.

Had to jump in here while I'm going thru my delivery delema A week??? Try a couple months Our V10 Ford Excursion has a 45 gal tank. We decided to fill it up when gas was still in the low $3's with about 1/8 tank left, it took $143 for reg. + $10 for a can of stabilizer. When we tow we have to use premium. We hit $4 this week for reg. Simple math - 40gals = $160. The guy that does our inspections laughs every yr when we have only 4k on it again. I expect less this yr. Been sitting for about 2 months now. I sandblast little spots that pop up underneath, paint, spray oil / silicones etc and have used Shark Hide on the calipers and brake components to keep it from becoming part of the earth - sitting is killing it. I think we're going to see a lot more of us falling into this category. People ask why I don't sell it - I say "You mean give it to someone" - hey, it's paid for, I'll use it when I need it - marketing has done a wonderful job of brainwashing us to believe that we sell a vehicle after we pay it off to get a new one. Besides, Greenpeace and the Sienna Club lobbied Ford to stop making the USS Excursion in 2005, so I'm happy to keep my piece of history - like the full size wagons of the 70's that we vacationed in across America in as kids Attachments:

It's kinda nice to drive the truck once in awhile. Been using it for commuting a bunch in the last month while I work on the scoot, and fuel fill-ups are killing me. But when I can commute with the scoot every day, and even get groceries on the way home, the truck gets little use. A couple of times I hadn't used it in nearly a month and felt a little weird driving it. Is this my truck? it's comfy with the bucket seats and stereo, lol. It's 6 years old and has 50k on it. I'll keep it around but it's a good feeling to not have to depend on it and pay for the gas it sucks up.
