Thanks for the reply. I ride a 10'6" because I'm 61, 240 lbs, and have a titanium hip. Add it all together and you have a slow to get up guy. I can take coast hwy. all the way except the last 1/2 mile where I have to jump on the frwy ( San Onofre )

Thanks. Looks like the easiest way if to just remover the wire coming from the safety shut off switch on the handlebars rather than try to work 6" off the ground.

Well the reason I ride scooters instead of motorcycle is because I had right hip replaced and it is very hard to swing leg up and over the seat. Also hard to use center stand. I've done it 3 times and it feels like the bike is going to fall over to the opposite side. Not a lot of strength in my right leg. Swinging my left leg over doesn't feel right because the bike is leaning to the left. Also not good to plant my right leg and pivot on it.

My neighbor behind me dresses in surf garb all day long. Surf trunks, tee shirt and flip flop. He just took the motorcycle safety class and got his license. So, he goes out and buys a 2006 Harley Fat Boy with all the extras and chrome flames and studded saddlebags....Once a week he puts on his Harley garb. Harley tee shirt, Levis, boots and black leather jacket if cold. He leaves the drive way and is back within 1 hour. He's back in surfer garb within a hour. Come to think of it, I see him load his surfboard on his truck once every 2 weeks and he's back within 2 hours.

Where can I buy a Piaggio tee shirt??
