On my tank 150/250 only about half of the other bikes I meet wave but I have to admit its kind of a silly looking scooter. A friend of mine let me take his 59 Cushman Eagle for a ride when I was trying to decide weather or not to sell my 61 and EVERYONE waved including the HD boys. I don't know if its because its old, American made, or looks like a small HD. After that I decided to keep the 61.

When I first got my scooter I thought it was kinda funny but like "spinners" it got old real quick!

I still say it's how you do it. If you wave high in the air like "Hi Mom" they won't wave back. If you hold your hand out and down below your handlebar end in a low wave like "I'm cool", most times they wave back the same way.

OK drove Scoot early Sunday , so early no bikes out. After the storms and chores went back out about 5:15 P.M., rode till 7 to 7:30 P.M. To town, backroads, main 50 MPH hiway. Lost count of bikers but low hand waved to all. Waves back were 1 old dude on a harley on back road, and Female passenger on Full dress Harley. Put windshield on bike Sun Nite lets see if that makes a diff. This is too funny, When on my Harley I waved to all Bikes including Crotch Rockets.

I throw the "Harley wave" at everyone. Still waiting to get my a#$ kicked on my Beamer!

Interesting subject. For the most part HD riders do wave to me, maybe because I wave first. I have noticed a lot of Super Bikes don't even know I'm alive. I seldom wave to them but will always wave to HD riders. However there is a HD rider who has to live close to me as we pass each other all the time and he will not wave. He stands out with his red bandanna.
