Good call Sprocket, I thought he was referring to the rattle it makes accelerating. Guess I need my glasses. Definitely check the vacuum line to the decel, if you didn't replace it during PDI it will rot within 2 weeks.

I think this is a normal Leike Hornet noise, mine has made it for over 1000 miles and no problems so far.

Your Hornet has a much larger exhaust exit than the pea-shooter in the pic. I wouldn't worry about drilling it, if you want more noise, run a straight pipe or get a Super-Trapp and use less disks.

The enricher is the same thing as the autochoke module attached to the carb. Most GY6 scoots come with an autochoke/enricher.

After getting the mirrors on and running it to work I noticed a new issue or two.
First, the left side front turn signal array of leds had only 2 working leds of about 20.
The rear shock was rubbing the tyre on the left side.
Fortunately I had ordered new mini turn signals for the rear fender delete I had been contemplating. So after a few minutes of debating where to attach the mini lights, I decided to replace one of the fairing attachment points with the turn signal stalks.
To remedy the rear tyre issue, I ordered a set of spacers from Standard functions and purchased a bike lift from Harbor Freight. This fix was a bit more involved as I had to test fit the rear with different amounts of spacers. Ended up using 2 spacers after test fitting and re-fitting for 2-3 days.
I also re-painted 2 of the fairings while I had her out of commission to fix the road rash.
I will try to get some new pics up when I get home.

Throw a pic up of what you have, that will give us a better idea of what you are looking for.

Shell gas makes my cage run terrible, it only likes Chevron. I was using a Chevron that had been a Shell and it even made the cage act up.

I would disregard the fact it supposedly pumps from the oil pump channel. This allows for a cleaner(imo) way to run a remote cooler with an electric pump. I may have to snag one of these!

Welcome to Super Hornet ownership! I would look at variator tuning before anything else. That will be my next step along with a re-gear most likely. With a K&N and the stock performance exhaust, I have hit 63mph GPS verified. Oh yeah, check the exhaust manifold castle nuts, I lost one of mine 2-3 days into having it.

New clip-on handlebars are installed, so I took her for a spin last evening. Had to switch to the backup battery as after trying to start it for a bit, the AGM was too low to crank her. Grabbed the battery that came with it out of the storage and she cranked right up.
Went for a couple mile spin, and then dropped the oil. Decided to remove the rear fender and found a black widow complete with egg sack under the rear fender.
All that is left to do to have her back on commute duty is to figure out where I need to mount the new fairing mounted mirrors!

Go easy like they tell you, I re-broke my collarbone a month after the accident getting up out of a chair at the lake. I had the figure 8 brace on and it gives so much support that I had pretty much forgot about not using that arm. Pushed myself out of the chair and heard a loud pop and felt a pain that made me almost fall over. Pushed my scoot return out another month probably...
