Are you buying a Chinese scooter or a Taiwanese/Japanese? This will determine our answers on maintenance schedules for various items.

I haven't tackled the front fender yet because it requires the wheel/tyre to be removed. Hopefully Saturday I will have enough downtime to take care of business.
I had a neighbor I had never met walk over and tell me how much he liked the black last night. We got to talking and he is thinking about buying a scoot.

1700Km so far and the only issues I have had were things I caused myself. I have been away from the bike for almost two weeks though so it has seriously hampered my painting progress. Not to mention the fact I got into a rush and realized I had not blended some spots as good as I had thought. As soon as the paint dried, I saw the disaster... I have two fairings now that have to be completely re-sanded along with the 2-3 I hadn't sanded at all yet.

I have one fairing finished, and it turned out pretty decent. Will post a pic tonight.
I am contemplating spinning the carb 180 so that is completely enclosed in the frame where nice cool air is forced in my the forward movement of the scoot. This also keeps anyone from tampering with the carb as you wont be able to get to it or the lines without removing fairings. Only down side is that I could then completely delete the rear fender and I might should have left the secondary fender full length...

I had the same issue after picking up the scoot last night with the new tires on it. It runs ridiculously well in the morning but the hotter and more humid it gets, the crappier it performs on the top end. Sounds like it is time to get that brass plug out of the carb.
