What does this P do?
In my scooter it does nothing. But should it do something?



- The upper round arrow is ON.
- Arrow with X is OFF and not locked
- Lock image is OFF and locked
- P is locked and something, but what? (I tought it would be hazard light, but no)

Sure looks like a Parking Light thingy.

Do you guys have this P at all?
Or is it just in "European" model only?
I don't have those hazard lights at all. I also don't have a manual for this scooter.

Yep, It is like many other things, it is an option your scoot does not have. They just use a common ignition but not the option.

Hmm... if that P gives me a hot wire, maybe I can use it with alarm installation
So that alarm can only be used when P mode is used.
That would save my battery. Because usually alarm uses a little current in every mode. Of course alarm have to be able to receive remote control commands.

But if I use just lock mode, then alarm would not use any battery.

Or something like that.

Mine teases me that I can use the key to open the seat but alas it is not a feature on my scooter. I almost broke my key off in the lock learning that lesson.

Mine also has that "P" ..does nothing (I have the same scoot you do)

The "P" position on my 1978 Suzuki GS1000 turns on the taillight with the engine off. A true parking light. However, the "P" position does nothing on my scoot. My key won't even turn that far.
