Just wondering if there is a writeup on this anywhere. Im sure its simple but I've never had to do it on any other vehicle. Im not even sure i got enough tube. I got 4' of 3/16 and 1/4 lines from advance auto today along with a 1/4" universal inline filter.
Is there a way of draining to old lines so i dont get gas everywhere?

There isn't an awful lot of gas involved here. The gas tank will not drain because the vacuum petcock will not allow it so you are dealing with whatever gas is in the fuel line. A couple of shop rags strategically placed will absorb any spills. A small container if it fits will also work. We are talking about a couple of ounces of gas.

Pinch the hose closed with a pair of vise-grips just after the tank then pull the hose off between the tank and the in nipple of the petcock and stick it in a container to drain the fuel tank...
Most lines on new scooters are 3/16 both gas and vacuum.. the 1/4 inch may be too big...
If it is a 2008 make it could still be 1/4 fuel lines...
I like to use 5" nylon zip ties to replace the cheap chinese spring clips that hold these lines...

Well look and check how man pieces of hose you need and measure each piece. The longest would probably be the Fuel hose from the petcock to the Fuel Filter and then to the Carb(Two Pieces) then the Vacumm Line would probably be longer since it probably runs to the INTAKE MANIFOLD or to a "T" or "Y" Splitter. But if you got say 4' of Each that would be more than enough of each. Alleyoop

4" of both sizes? It should work OK. Take one line off cut it to length and replace it...
You won't get all the hose out of 4 ft if you need 3/16ID for everything.. you will likely be short a couple of feet...

You should definitely plan on securing these lines with zip ties, and one good tip I got was to use two colors - one for vacuum, one for fuel, so you will know which is which months from now if/when you need to go back in for whatever reason.
