okay figures out the electronic governor deal when you lock into upright position the wire in the front behind the grill comes into contact with 2 prongs. i covered them with cardboard just to see if that was it. sure was. nice if your only putting around the campground and don't want to have it unlocked

I,ll try that around the block. I gotta figure out how to stop the beeping and the governor or I will never go more than 5 MPH? Replacing every Vacuum hose (5 in All) and finishing the fuel hose clamps Sunday. Gonna try to get a better vacuum tee at Home Depot because that plastic thing is gonna break real easy!

I'm going to give you the way I did it, this is also how to remove alot of the scooter covers to get to the motor. !st raise your seat. under the back seat on the sides are two 10 mm nuts remove them and pull the back seat off. @nd the cover under the seat has about 9 screws remover them. Now you can see the luggage rack and the 4 bolts to it, remove those, that should get you too the area you should be able too remove the rear lights with two or 4 more screws. You can now get to the screws for the side panels and the bottom panels, the front seat comes off when you remove the shoch, it unscrew on the seat side then their are some accenst panels too the motor on top. hope that helps.

I,m doing what Stewali outlined and moved the battery braces to a functional spot (??) they were of no use where they had put them. It was nice to get rid of that brace because the luggage rack was not for me. I,m going to continue stripping it down to inspect all the wiring connections and remove the dull plastic in front of the carb nipple because I,m having a tough time getting a clamp on it with the plastic there. This is "My Summer Project" it seems but I,m happy when I,m farting around with stuff and listening to tunes! I get to ride the Spyder Can Am All afternoon tomorrow. Ye Ha!! Picture shows you can get to lights but I saw no Bulb # like 1157 etc on them??? Attachments:

I'm happy the info is of some use. I'm not havinf any touble with mine, I will say this scooter is a better quilty then what I have been working on for some people. Wire seem bigger and hoses are better, but they did put the fuel pump on backwards, my hose clamps seem ok for now may change them out this winter. Have 22 miles on it nithing over 40mph rides ok getting better at turning, so I going to get my cycle endorsement friday

I noticed ,Like you said, with cardboard between the contacts it will not beep and I had it on the center stand both locked and unlocked and the governor did not interfere!!! I,,m sure tightening or fooling with the center lock lever will solve the problem. Since I haven,t riden a real motorcycle in 40 years I will do some riding around my street with it locked first. The frame, welds, engine and electrical connectors seem of pretty good quality and overall I think its a nice looking scoot!! My rear tire seems to wobble moderately at an indicated 40 MPH on the center stand? Wonder if its the tire or rim?

:)I would think it's just the tire, but you could check it with a marker or something turning the rim alot slower, Have you found an bulbs, your problem going to have to order them unless you change or modified the socket. Has anyone found a way to see a parts list on these bikes so we can ask for parts by parts numbers or something? I know the front head light is hard to match up with. were did you move your battrery to?

I,m still tearing it down. Hot as You no what just about everywhere. I moved the battery double post (Picture) about 2-3 inches forward so the battery fit in the slot. Had to hack saw the brace arm because the nut was hidden underneath. Have tender connectors on the battery but the motor starts right up every time. Gonna check for bulbs Tomorrow at Auto Zone.

Great Timing! I just got back and went to start it and nothing? Thanks to the Forum I immediately knew it was the fuse and they had a spare in there. Gotta put that on the list! Thanks

Well, scooter is all ready for the road, now I just need to put some go long miles on her. I put 24 on her getting it lawful to drive on the road. Had lots of looks driving it around, tried to install one of those brake light flashers but it wouldn't flash, brake lights would come on so I have to send it back and get another, I'm going to install some led body lights and I found some led fog lights I'm going to install on the front. Anything on the engine oil leak?
