Hello, i was always told NO QUESTION IS A STUPID QUESTION. To run a compression test on my scooter without actual tester, would it be possible to (as the forum says) hold my thumb over spark plug hole while attempting to start it?? and this should work by blowing my finger off of hole correct? even if scooter IS NOT ACTUALLY STARTING? but attempting to start

What are you hoping to find by doing a compression test? Unless there is zero compression, the bike will start if everything else is working correctly. May not run the best, would smoke, but it would start.

Read a post on here where guy says if u have NO compression don't wast time tryin to repair bike UNLESS ur looking to rebuild engine. Thanks for help

most of theseengines are very cheap and easy to build i now have the 250 water cooled but it is still very basic engine with help from here you should be able to do anything to your scooter also on comprision test if you add oil and the compresion goes up its the rings if stays the same valves are out good luck

Yes take the plug out and stick your finger in the hole and cover it good with your finger, then hold the throttle WIDE OPEN and CRANK it. If it blows your finger off you have enough compression that the engine will start and run.
