YOU WILL NOT have to change the IDLE. Raising the Needle ONLY EFFECTS MID-RANGE SPEEDS and HIGHER SPEEDS It will idle the same before and after.
Where do you see the problem happening? At higher SPeeds or when you first get on the scoot and start off? Alleyoop

Woops, just saw your last post Alleyoop. I'm not really having a big problem, I just know at 200 miles ish my manual said to remove and clean the whole carb but it was suggested that I just adjust the carb instead of clean it already, so thats what im trying to do, and also i adjusted the valve so I guess im supposed to adjust the carb too after that? I was having a problem w it not accelerating but i think adjusting the valve and maybe the seafoam in the tank helped that. Now it works but sounds like it still idles a little slow and when i first start it, it idles fast then slower then slower, but doesn't cut out. It hesitates a tiny tiny bit when i accelerate at slow speeds, but not bad. I guess im just trying to keep up on maintenance and make it run a little better at this point Also the video i posted on thread page 5 has a noise that im not sure is normal, when i first warm it up u hear it more

My advice don't follow the manual.. ask here.
The manuals are TERRIBLE and most are INACCURATE and apply to scooters made 10 years ago...
Really, change the oil at 200, 400, 800 and 1000 miles and the gear oil every other oil change...check the valve gaps at 800 miles and 2000 miles again...
There should be NO reason to clean a carb...unless you have left fuel in the gas tank for 6 months...
The engine runs fast when it is cold and then the idle drops after 3 minutes.. the enricher is probably working OK...if you feel that the idle is too slow when the engine warms up then give the throttle adjusting know 1/4 or 1/2 a turn clockwise..

Sounds good. I'm guessing the throttle adjusting knob* means the idle speed adjusting screw? I know I need to have it warmed up first but do I turn the screw while its running? Thanks.

Straightbangin, Do not bother with cleaning the Carb out it is fine. I thought you were having some serious bogging or whatnot. Just put in 1 oz of Seafoam for every gallon of gas once in a while and you will be fine.
And yes when starting a SCOOT COLD the ENRICHER(CHOKE) is AUTOMATICALLY ON and it will IDLE HIGH(which is good it is supposed to). THen as it warms up about 2-4 minutes the idle will start to come down and settle whereever you have set it. If you think it is IDLEING to SLOW AFTER 5 MINUTES then turn the IDLE SPEED SCREW CLOCKWISE with your hand Just a tiny bit and raise the IDLE to where you want it, AS LONG AS THE REAR WHEEL IS NOT SPINNING. Done and enjoy the rides. Alleyoop

Yes ...throttle or idle.. take your pick...while it is running and warm (4 minutes) and on the centre stand... you turn it until the back wheel starts to turn, then you turn it back about 1/4 turn... so the wheel does not spin
the idle will be set and you should not need to adjust it again for some time...

Everything was great and then 62 miles later it started doing the same thing while I was out driving ( when I went to accelerate it would bog and hesitate and try to shut down ) so if i let off the throttle it was fine and sounded fine, then when i went to put even a little on the throttle, it would do the same thing) i stopped it, waited a minute and restarted, same thing, i turned the idle screw up a little, waited 10 seconds, heard it idle a little higher, and went to accelerate and it wanted to shut down again, wouldn't accelerate. I had a 15 block walk home. I turned it off, walked half way home. Tried to start it again and it was 100% fine. I'm googling problems w my particular scooter. I leaned it is an LBQT50-6 Maybe the valve screw wasn't tight and I have to readjust it. That is what seemed to work last time, that or maybe the sea foam, but I put another oz of sea foam in my last fill up a few days ago and so if that was the case is should be fine. Sigh.. Crazy scoot.
