Brought home my other toy this weekend. Now my scoot has to share my time along with the kids and work and the house and the wife and the family and friends and about 50 other things. Here's another one

That is a beautiful Vette, what year is that and what is the engine? I love that particular styling, a lot more than the new ones. It seems like Viper and Vette are having a competition on looking alike now, yours is a one of a knid style. I had a 1953 years ago with the four exposed headlights and the giant speedo that wrapped around the steering column, MAN I wish I'd kept that. Anyway, enjoy, I hate you, Rich

Rich, my sentiments exactly. Thomas, what a beautiful classic design, you lucky so-n-so!!!! I remember the Corvettes that Rich mentions, a real old time sports car. We have an Audi Quatro convertable sports car that my wife loves and I absolutely hate!!! It stays in the shop more than on the road. I call it her $1000.00 car. Take it in for a tune up and you had better have a grand in your pocket because that is what it will cost to get it back. But your Corvette? Oh wow, a real sports car.

Wow! That's a nice one! It looks exactly like my old 74, 350! Except mine didn't look that good 30 years ago! Enjoy!

Thanks guys, That 53 would be worth big bucks today. My dad bought this as a father son project when I was 15. It was a total and we did a frame off resto. It has a mild 350 4 bolt main and is build for cruising not bruising. I had it in storage for about 8 years while I got my family and career going and I got it back out about three years ago. Not bad for a paint job that was done in 1980. It has 62K miles and the interior is still like new. I have some detail work to do but it is a blast to drive. Thought I would share.

Wolfhound, no kidding..I always thought Audi was THE reliable car. I've actually lusted after the Quatro and thought of getting one, I'm glad you clued me in. I think I mentioned before, in regards to expensive to maintain cars, an oil change on my 2002 Viper was $100.00+. It was also in the shop a lot but all of that was under warranty luckily. Just after the warranty ran out I traded it in for a Pacrapica; oh, did I spell that wrong? I'm sorry. Rich

Ours( hers) is 2001 Audi Quatro TT Roadster. Supercharged. It will run like a bat out of H**l but that is about all I can say for it.Tires last about 40,000 miles, and Audi makes you cry every time you have it serviced. To its credit it does handle great but the clutch releases at the floor and at 6'1" and 190 lbs it is uncomfortable for me to drive so it stays parked if she is not here. She works in Durham NC during the week and drives home on weekends. Her latest car is a Volvo C70 hard top convertable , 2009 model. Now there is a sweet piece of machinery!!!!We had a 1991 Miata that was a true sports car, we both loved that one. Put 185,000 miles on it with just normal maitainance. It was a blast to drive, wish we still had it.
